President

A passion for animals has been part of Jacqui’s life from the very beginning. In fact, she was reportedly a late talker as a child, and her doctor suggested getting a dog or cat to help encourage speech. She’s been told she hasn’t stopped talking since.

Today, Jacqui and her husband, Tim, share their home with a 12 year-old Old English Sheepdog adopted through an OES rescue group, a 4 year-old Shepherd/Husky mix adopted from PowerfulPaws, along with two adopted cats (ages 13 & 15). They are also proud parents to a son and daughter, both grown and living on their own, and delighted grandparents to one grandson and one granddaughter.

Jacqui grew up in the Valley area of Syracuse and is a graduate of Corcoran High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY. After taking early retirement from a career in the computer software industry, Jacqui has devoted her time to volunteering with several local animal shelters before finding her long-term home at Animal Alliance of Greater Syracuse (AAGS).

Since joining AAGS, Jacqui has served in several leadership roles, including Chairperson of the LEG UP Program and Volunteer Committee Coordinator. From 2018 to 2020, she also served as Vice President of AAGS and continues to be deeply committed to advancing the organization’s mission and impact in Central New York.
